The suite of galleries offers visitors a chance to experience the history of American art from the eighteenth to the early twentieth century. Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze's monumental painting Washington Crossing the Delaware forms the centrepiece of the new installation. The galleries present a diverse collection of American paintings and sculptures, featuring artists such as Winslow Homer, John Singer Sargent and Augustus Saint-Gaudens, as well as eighteenth century American decorative arts.
