Site-specific commission by Japanese installation and performance artist NaoKo TakaHashi. An Exploration of Perforated Space in Four Segments of Words brings an aesthetic that is both meticulous and forgiving to the narrative of interacting with people and social spaces, exploring time, language and the gesture of the hand-made.
NaoKo TakaHashi, born in Nigata Japan has studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL graduating with an MFA in 2002, and has since exhibited widely in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. She has exhibited in the Museum of Contemporary Art Roskide, Denmark, Five Years Gallery, London, the Al Ma’mal Foundation for Contemporary Art, Jerusalem and has participated in “Helmet Newton’s Ladies Night’ organised by Spartacus Chetwynd at the Royal Academy, London and the AiM International Biennale Marrakech among others. TakaHashi lives and works in London.
