The artist considers himself mainly self-taught, apart from a brief spell studying with Leonard Fuller at the St Ives School of Painting. He has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, and also the Royal Society of British Artists and the New English Art Club. An unexpected snow storm in an otherwise mild January transformed the fields and woods around my home. From the busy unseasonable warmth of flowers, insects and nesting birds suddenly all was still and silent, frozen and, for me, completely captivating'.It is happening Down stairs.
